Sanja Festival

The Sanja Festival returns for another year!  Starting on Friday at 1 pm there is a short parade named "DaigyoretsuI" followed by the main event on the Saturday and Sunday.  The weekend days start early in the morning and finish in the early evening.  Community groups will carry the mikoshi (portable shrines) through local areas and there will probably be at least two million people in attendance!

It should be an incredible three days and it truly is an event not to be missed.  The Sanja is one of Tokyo's biggest cultural events.
