Tokyo in Pics

The Towers of Tokyo

The skyscrapers of Nishi-Shinjuku made a big impact on me when I first went there in 1991. Coming from Brisbane in Australia, which was a much smaller place than Tokyo, had nothing to compare. There seemed to be so many of these huge towers, that made the area look like a gigantic medieval castle. These days the towers might have aged somewhat, but they still look very impressive especially at night.

I’ve put another photo of the Sonpo Japan building on the website before, which you can see here. That one was taken in 2017 and is a very different composition, but you’ll be able to see a few changes have taken place in the area.
