Tokyo in Pics

An almost imperial sunset

Fushimi Keep at the Imperial Palace in Chiyoda ward can be a good place to photograph, if you get the right conditions. You need to be really lucky though. If the clouds had been a little kinder for me, I think I could have gotten something really memorable. This time, I got some almost worthy of being called imperial.

I think, more like hope, that I’ll have another chance this summer to shoot this sunset. Next time, with some luck, the cloud cover above the keep won’t be as thick and we’ll have a chance to see the sun right on top of it. It makes you think, “Does the Emperor enjoy the same sunsets from inside as we do from outside?”.
