Tokyo in Pics

Rugby on the Tocho

I was near Hatsudai station photographing some of Tokyo’s expressways and decided to walk to Shinjuku. On my way home I was walking past Opera City and in the distance, I could see the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. It looked different. The building was lit up, in red and blue! It looked pretty impressive. I decided to head over and take a picture or two.

As usual, whenever the building gets lit up, it draws a lot of photographers. Quite a few were already in the courtyard taking pictures by the time I arrived. One of them told me that colour scheme was in support of the Rugby World Cup which is coming to Tokyo this year. I thought it looked pretty cool. Just a pity that the moon wasn’t a little larger!
