Tokyo in Pics

A building within a building?

Ebisu East Gallery, is another building which I love in Tokyo. Located near Ebisu station it is very inspiring. I just love the look of this building as it looks so different. The outer concrete wall appears to have had one corner chipped away revealing glass windows underneath. What was the architect trying to do here? What was their intent? I don’t know but it is very impressive. Did they want to give the impression of something trying to break out, or something else? A building within a building? Maybe some type of metamorphosis? Every time I walk past this building, it makes me think.
