Tokyo in Pics

A photography blog about Tokyo, run by Australian photographer Rohan Gillett

This is it!

This is, probably, my most favourite scene in Tokyo to photograph. The Imperial Palace’s Sakurada gate with the Marunouchi district behind. I just love this view, the low lying castle with the huge buildings behind it. There is something about the contrast between them that really appeals to me. The modern concrete and glass towers in the background and the walls and towers of an era long gone, is stunning. Actually, I need to shoot it much earlier in the morning too, some day.
