Tokyo in Pics

A photography blog about Tokyo, run by Australian photographer Rohan Gillett

It's finally started!

The cherry blossoms are back in Tokyo, but just barely. I visited Inokashira Park near Kichioji Station while on a very long lunch break for these photos and the flowers were starting to blooming! On the eastern side of the pond, the flowers were actually looking very good in a couple of places. However, in the rest of the park only a few blooms could be seen here or there. A few locals were out early enjoying the Hanami season, but these people obviously very keen to get started. So, in my opinion, I think in about another week, the flowers will be looking extremely good. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for some good weather in Tokyo.
