Falconry is an incredible sport and every year, on January 2, an exhibit of it is put on at Hama Rikyu Gardens in Tokyo. You can see a few pictures of the 2018 event here.

In November 2018 Rikugien, one of Tokyo’s Edo-period parks lit up again in autumn. It was a great night, even though the unseasonally warm weather prevented the trees being at their best. You can see a few pictures of my visit here.
In November 2018 Design Festa returned to Tokyo Big Sight for the 48th time! This show has been going on for a long time and it shows no sign of slowing down. If you are ever in Tokyo and an art lover, I highly recommend you visit it.
Halloween is extremely popular in Tokyo, especially in Shibuya. The Shibuya event would have to be one of the biggest street parties in Japan, if not the world. It is an incredible event and you can see some pictures of it here.Read More

Every year, in October, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is lit up in pink to support a really good cause, the Pink Ribbon Campaign. The building isn’t in pink for just one day, it stays that way for two whole weeks. You can see it here.
